Finally we've got some info but is the Nintendo Switch 2 worth it? Should you spend your money on it? I'm by no means a tech expert, nor is this financial advice, this is simply opinions from a potential consumer.

TOMODACHI IS BACK
Sorry for screaming but OMG the Tomodachi Life game was my life many years ago. The blue 3DS that I had saw me make so many random celebs (and maybe a few crushes) as Mii's living in that cute apartment block. I had hoped there would be a sequel on the Nintendo Switch but I eventually gave up hope and assumed that it would never see the light of day again. But it's back and it's called Tomodachi Life Living The Dream. I'm hyped, sadly no news on a new Animal Crossing, however ACNH took a few years after realease of the Switch to be announced. But if cosy games aren't your scene here are some more games that have been either announced or rumoured:
Mario Kart World
Donkey Kong Bonanza
Metroid Prime™ 4: Beyond
Kirby Air Riders
Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment
Drag x Drive
The Duskbloods
Here's a bigger list of games coming to Switch 2: https://www.nintendolife.com/guides/nintendo-switch-2-all-confirmed-games-and-release-dates
Don't worry Nintendo confirmed that the Nintendo Switch games (both physical and digital) will be compatible with the new console.

Overall it's definitely an upgrade, but it's crazy how behind the original Switch was, like it wasn't nearly as powerful as its competition at the time which I guess you could say is because they went for the portable angle but still. They did take the colour out of the Joy-cons though which I don't know if I'm a fan, the fun and bright colours are Nintendo's bread and butter.
One thing that drove me up the wall with the Nintendo Switch was the controller aka Joy-cons. It felt like they broke INSTANTLY. Firstly the connection issues, both when slotted into the LCD screen and into the actual Joy-con grip (what makes it into a traditional controller). It didn't take long for the Joy-cons to stop connecting, only one would connect, etc. The stick drift also arrived super early in the Joy-con's life. I love my switch okay I'm not going to act like I don't but there were definitely longevity issues with the Joy-cons that made me annoyed. My pro controller actually has held up pretty good tbf with only a bit of stick drift being its main issue. Plus I find the pro controller to actually be a very comfortable controller to hold and doesn't cause my hands to feel like they're having to stretch or over extend.
But The Big Question Is....What's The Price?
Right now to preorder in Australia it is $700AUD ($500USD). To be honest I have no clue if that's overpriced or fair however I believe the cost of a lot of the games is rising. On the first Switch the average AAA game was around $70USD now these upcoming games are going to be up to $80-$90USD ($110 - $120AUD). Fans are definitely not happy as this will probably increase the likelihood of other games on other consoles and pc also raising their prices in the future and the benchmark for overall pricing of games will be on an incline. I'm not going to lie I'll will most likely buy a Nintendo Switch 2 at some point, not straight on release but once games release that I really want to play I'll think about making the purchase. However I do feel that Nintendo tends to make decisions that come across as greedy and don't offer a lot of the same benefits as other consoles. Another thing is Nintendo games rarely ever go on sale, like older games are still sold at full price which is definitely hard to justify for people who don't have a lot of spare money. I love some aspects of Nintendo and so many of their games are nostalgic and I enjoy but the image they portray is just money-hungry, which shouldn't be the case for such a big company.
So will you buying a Switch 2? What are your thoughts?
Thank you for reading as always!
